　　unless與if…not都可以譯為‘’要是(不)”，但是二者在用法和含義上并非完全等同。如：

　　※ Unless I were a teacher, I would not concern myself with your morality.我又不是 老師，不會(huì)關(guān)心你的道德品質(zhì)。

　　If I weren't a teacher, I would not concern myself with your morality.假如我不是老師的話，我就不會(huì)關(guān)心你的道德品質(zhì)了。(實(shí)際上我是老師，因此要關(guān)心你的道德品質(zhì)。)
